This one has baffled people for a while. Why can't I just wash my face and apply products as I wish?
Experts we have collaborated with for many years say this and we agree!
Consider skincare as a type of recipe you follow for your face. It's important to follow the step-by-step process for best results. Doing anything MORE can overload the skin and cause potential irriation and actually lessen product effectiveness.
Follow this simple rule:
Cleanse - Treat - Moisturize - SPF
Cleansing kicks everything off and prepares your skin to accept and absorb the next layers of product application.
A treatment product (those used to address specific concerns that go beyond cleansing and moisturizing) is your next step. Whichever one you use is up to you, but remember, just choose ONE. Don't overuse here. If you are trying to address different areas of concern, use one of those treatment products in the AM and a different treatment at night. Evaluate to make sure your skin does not have any adverse reactions and adjust accordingly.
Follow your treatment with a great moisturizer which helps act as a skin barrier, locking in hydration and all the goodies you just applied. No regime is complete without your favorite SPF.
Cleanse - Treat - Moisturize - SPF - SLAY.
